Greenhouse Gas Emissions

Car Travel Calculated

Transportation accounts for the largest portion of total U.S. greenhouse gas emissions. Light-duty vehicles, (our everyday cars and trucks) make up 59 percent of overall vehicle emissions in the United States. As Colorado’s population continues to rise, air-pollution will also increase in the state, exaggerating already high levels of toxins in the atmosphere created by our vehicle activities.

Whether you balance your daily commute or a special trip, your donation will be used to help a family increase the energy-efficiency of their home. They will live more safely and comfortably while we all benefit from less greenhouse gas emissions.

Not sure where to start? The national average is 13,500 miles per year and the average miles driven for Coloradans per year is 12,899.
